It’s an obvious statement to say that 2020 was a weird year…and that carried over to my reading. Books that may not have normally worked for me did and books that usually work for me didn’t. And, in general, the hyped books of 2020 weren’t the ones that ended up on my Best Books of 2020 list.
6 debuts are on this list (55%)…even though I read less debuts this year than last year, more of them made my Best Books of 2020 list! And, 5 of the books on this list are memoirs (compared to only 2 last year)…a category that worked extremely well for me during the distraction of 2020.
I’ve brought back the high school yearbook-style “Superlatives” from previous years (2019, 2018, 2017)!

I’m super interested in We Keep The Dead Close, so I’m glad it’s one of your favorites. I’m crossing my fingers that I get to read it next year.
I’m so thrilled that you were able to sneak A Knock at Midnight in to this list before the end of the year!
