Blogs I Love

Where do I get ideas for great books to read?

My best source is asking family and friends what they’ve been reading lately. Almost every time I talk to a friend, I ask about what he/she has been reading lately and the last book he/she loved. I do look at the New York Times and Amazon Bestseller lists and various Editors’ Choice lists, but I find that the Editors’ Choice lists are sometimes too “high-brow” for me and the Bestseller lists are sometimes too “low-brow”. I’m generally looking for a book that falls somewhere in between those two categories. So where do I go for books that fall in that sweet spot?
