August 2014 Monthly Round-Up

August was a big reading month for me (and less writing)…mainly because I was on vacation with limited Internet access for a bit. I thoroughly enjoyed the focus on reading and got to hang out at my favorite reading spot for awhile.

River Reading

I also started participating in Top Ten Tuesdays hosted by The Broke and Bookish. I have always loved reading other people’s Top Ten lists and think it’s a fun way to talk about books…it just took me awhile to get around to joining in!

  1. I’ve got Natchez Burning and I’ve heard it’s wonderful but have been somewhat intimidated by its size. I’ll have to move it up my TBR pile.

It’s definitely a chunkster, but it reads really quickly…I forgot how long it was while I was reading.

  3. Sarah, I can’t wait to see what you think about Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy – I think it’ll be very interesting, but it could go either way! I’m happy to hear you’ve been able to enjoy a little relaxation…hope you have a great weekend!
