February continued my somewhat slumpy 2015…with the exception of My Sunshine Away (which, barring an unprecedented remainder of the year, will make my Best Books of the Year list come December) and a few other “really liked it” books. But, I’m in the middle of what I think will be another shining star right now, so hopefully March will turn the tide. I’m also hoping to throw in more backlisters in the coming months.

- I enjoyed the creativity of a couple posts in particular this month: Joann at Lakeside Musing’s “Pick or Pass” take on West of Sunset by Stewart O’Nan, Sheila at Book Journey’s “Girl Fight” post pitting Amy of Gone Girl versus Rachel of The Girl on the Train (the winner is Amy, obviously…), and Shannon at River City Reading’s Reading in Threes post on Southern fiction.
- Recently, the Serial Podcast got me interested in listening to more podcasts (especially during workouts). And, lucky for me, lots of book bloggers shared their favorite podcasts this month: Shannon at River City Reading (current podcasts, bookish podcasts), Stacey at The Novel Life, and Kim at Sophisticated Dorkiness. I’ve been trying lots of different recommendations and will be sharing my favorites in a separate post next month.
- I loved getting some behind the scenes details about my favorite book of the month from Tamara at Traveling with T’s post on meeting M.O. Walsh, debut author of My Sunshine Away.
It looks like you had a great month Sarah. I enjoyed many of your posts.
Great February books, Sarah. I have an ARC of My Sunshine away that I must get to. I also like the books you’ve lined up for March. Happy reading!
I really want to get my hands on A Little Life. I’ve heard nothing but great stuff from the lucky bloggers who have been able to read it 😀
It’s so good…not easy, harrowing in fact, but has me entranced anyway!
Thanks for linking to my post! I hope you find some good podcasts to add to your listening rotation.
